Hubble sinks in the low-redshift swampland

چکیده

Local determinations of the Hubble constant $H_0$ favour a higher value than Planck based on CMB and $\Lambda$CDM. Through model-independent expansion, we show that low redshift ($z \lesssim 0.7$) data comprising baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO), cosmic chronometers Type Ia supernovae has preference for Quintessence models lower relative to In addition, confirm an exponential coupling dark matter cannot alter this conclusion in same range. Our results leave open possibility matter-dominated epoch, potentially even ages, may yet save from sinking string theory Swampland.

The Hubble Constant from Sze Measurements in Low-redshift Clusters

We present a determination of the Hubble constant from measurements of the Sunyaev-Zeldovich Effect (SZE) in an orientation-unbiased sample of 7 z < 0.1 galaxy clusters. With improved X-ray models and a more accurate 32-GHz calibration, we obtain H0 = 64 +14 −11 ± 14syskmsec Mpc for a standard CDM cosmology, or H0 = 66 +14 −11 ± 15syskm sec Mpc for a flat ΛCDM cosmology. The random uncertainty ...

Redshift Clustering in the Hubble Deep Field

We present initial results from a redshift survey carried out with the Low Resolution Imaging Spectrograph on the 10 m W. M. Keck Telescope in the Hubble Deep Field. In the redshift distribution of the 140 extragalactic objects in this sample we find 6 strong peaks, with velocity dispersions of ∼400 km s. The areal density of objects within a particular peak, while it may be non-uniform, does n...

Constraints from Hubble Parameter versus Redshift Data

We use the Simon, Verde, & Jimenez (2005) determination of the redshift dependence of the Hubble parameter to constrain cosmological parameters in three dark energy cosmological models. We consider the standard ΛCDM model, the XCDM parameterization of the dark energy equation of state, and a slowly rolling dark energy scalar field with an inverse power-law potential. The constraints are restric...

Detectability of High Redshift Ellipticals in the Hubble Deep Field

The ultraviolet dropout technique, when applied to the Hubble Deep Field (HDF), has detected relatively few intensively star-forming galaxies at redshifts z > 2.5. This has been interpreted to imply a low space density of elliptical galaxies at high z, possibly due to a late (z < 2.5) epoch of formation, and contrary to what is deduced from the properties of present-day ellipticals. Alternative...

High Redshift Supernovae in the Hubble Deep Field

Two supernovae detected in the Hubble Deep Field (HDF) using the original December 1995 epoch and data from a shorter (63000 s in F814W) December 1997 visit with HST are discussed. The supernovae (SNe) are both associated with distinct galaxies at redshifts of 0.95 (spectroscopic) from Cohen et al. (1996) and 1.32 (photometric) from the work of Fernández-Soto, Lanzetta, & Yahil (1998). These re...
